Unseeded Srichaphan shocks Davydenko.

The way unseeded Paradorn Srichaphan played in his 6-4, 7-5, 6-3 victory over No. 6 seed Nikolay Davydenko Friday in the second round of the US Open might cause tennis fans everywhere to pay a bit more attention to the brawny 26-year-old Thai .

Srichaphan employed a powerful forehand against Davydenko, tallying 21 forehand winners and controlling most of the match by making the 24-year-old Russian scurry and sometimes shrug in exhaustion at the shots he just could not reach.
